Who I Am...

I'm a blogger, editor, workshop leader, and writer armed with more than 25 years of publishing experience and academic degrees in English, journalism, and theology. Be it books or brochures, I’ve had my hands in all aspects of the editorial process, from development to production and every phase in between. I know the challenges facing authors in today’s marketplace, because as a fellow writer seeking publication I face them, too.

If you’re ready to look for an agent or a publisher, I can help you craft a provocative proposal to get the job done. If you’re just getting started and you need assistance with plot and character development, I can evaluate your manuscript with those goals in mind as well. Or if you’d just like to try your hand at writing in my Women’s Writing Circle, we can do that, too.

Based in Nashville, I received my bachelor’s degree in English from Millsaps College and my master’s degree in journalism from the University of Mississippi. I served as thewriting fellow for the Earlham School of Religion in Richmond, Indiana, in 2003.

In May 2007, I was graduated from Vanderbilt University Divinity School with a master’s in theological studies. I am a columnist and blogger for Her Nashvillemagazine and a contributor to Weavings: A Journal of the Christian Spiritual LifeThe Spire, and the Northside Sun Magazine. I serve on the Advisory Council for the Dept. of Journalism at the University of Mississippiand on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Writers Alliance.
